How to convince parents for giving permission to choose career plan according to you, not Engineering or medical as trend?

Query- 
What should I do if my parents force me to take up the science stream when I am interested in taking humanities? I want to study archeology, but my parents want me to do engineering or become a doctor.

Actually they are so much worried about your future and career. Hence they are thinking for Engineering and medical as career options. As this course have great value , respect in our society.

But you have to do some research work about what you want to do ? What are the career path and scope of it? Can you make a successful career in it? You have to explain same with full confidence to your parents in peaceful manner like discussion not as debate. For this you should have confidence in yourself that's why i told you to do research work. Then you can do what i said.

Also keep a backup plan with you as option ,that if there is something bad happen then you will leave this field what you have chosen and do this course where you will be able to make career any how 100 percent with no doubt.

So MCA is technical course which is equivalent to Engineering , this is 3 year post graduation full time professional course can be done by any graduation student. OR MBA is non technical Management courses which is best degree to get settled in corporate world, this is also 2 year full time professional course. Whatever you choose, there is entrance exam for admission it can be state level or national level. Any 1 of these two ,you can keep as backup plan of your career.

After understanding everything , you can proceed to talk with parents with calm mind. AND time to talk will be free ,when they really listen you approx 15–20 min with full concentration ,it can be holiday , after lunch or dinner.
