Career as Software Developer | How to make career in IT Field ? | How to make entry in IT industry ? 

Answer : First of all, this career path is for person who is interested in Coding/programming (Computer languages)

A) Degree Required :

B.E./B.Tech/BCA/BSc.IT/BSc.CS/MCA
(Any one degree make you capable and eligible to work in IT industry)

1) After Class 10, you can select Science for Class 11 & 12 with PCM (Physics, chemistry,Maths as academics subjects).
After Class 12 from Science stream/PCM,

i) For BE/BTech (Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology) degree,
With Entrance eg.JEE or MHT-CET for Maharashtra students, you can go for Engineering such as BE/BTech from CS or IT Stream (Computer Science /Information Technology)
Engineering is generally of four years full time professional Course in most of University.
 OR 
ii) For BSc.IT or BSc.CS (Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science)
Without Entrance after Class 12 Science /PCM, you can go for this degree i.e BSc in CS or BSc in IT. This bachelor degree in CS or IT field is of Three years professional degree course in most of University.

2) After Class 10, If you didn't select science and go for commerce or arts. It is fine but just select maths as one of the subject with arts or Commerce subjects in your class 11 & class 12 academics.
After class 12 from arts or Commerce with maths ,
You can go for BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) . This is professional degreee course.
(NOTE : This degree can be done by any stream students)

3) After Class 10, Class 12 and Graduation degree from any stream such as Commerce or Arts or Science, you are interested in IT and want to make career in this field. So, don't worry, it's not too late. 
You can go for MCA (Masters in Computer Applications). This is three year full time professional masters degree course.
(Note: any stream graduated students can do this Masters degree)

B)  Technical skills required other than academics 
This need to be learn in Academics tenure only from self or external assurance resources.
Basic coding : HTML, CSS, C+ or C++ 
Advanced coding : Java , Python , JavaScript, C#, PHP
Knowledge Base : Database Management/DBMS , Data Structures, Automata theory, IoT , Artificial intelligence, Cloud computing, Big Data, Networking, Machine Learning. 

C) Certification Course Required
This need to be done in academics tenure only.
Recognised platform : Oracle certificate , NPTEL certificate, Google or microsoft certified course.
Online platform certificate : Udemy, Udacity etc.
If possible try to get Internship certificate and working experience also  in company/field realted to your field during academics only.

D) where to apply : MNC's 
Infosys, Capgemini, TCS, Wipro, Birlasoft, Neosoft, Techmahindra, HCL Tech, Accenture, L&T Infotech, etc.

E) Average Packages : CTC (Cost To Company)

As Freshers, 3-6 Lac per annum. 
After 2-3 year of experience, 6-12 Lac per annum.
Experience more than 4 years, 12 Lac per  annum and more. 

F) Online Job Portals 
(Search this on web search engine like Google and do registration of yourself on that portals then search)
For jobs and internships : Flairboat, Indeed, Korma, Naukri etc. 
For Internships only : Internshala 

G) Other career options with these degrees
Software Tester, Database handler/manager, project leader/manager, Web developer, Data Analyst, Cybersecurity personnel, Software project consultant, etc.

Government College fees are less(approx 50-80 K) but have a great demand and cutoffs also always get higher and higher. Tables provides the approx.
